PROFILE DESCRIPTION

Qualification and Experience

• Class 1 Fitter Machinist.
• National Certificate in Machine Shop Engineering.
• Apprenticeship training is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years Fixed plant experience in a Heavy/Mining industry, experience in a Chrome Wash Plant will be an added advantage.
• Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
• Ability to weld and fabricate.
• Competent in supervising/executing basic lifting operations.

WORK OUTPUT DESCRIPTION

Core work outputs:

• Performing first line and second line maintenance activities which include daily inspections, diagnostics/troubleshooting and overhauling of fixed plant equipment.
• Adherence to scheduled maintenance, inspections and service on all mechanical systems.
• Installing and testing of new mechanical components.
• Knowledge of spirals, cone crusher, jaw crusher, conveying systems, water pumps, centrifugal fans and compressors.
• Experience in machining is highly required.
• Ensuring overall effectiveness of equipment.
• Completing work orders and checklists.
