SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY
- Coordinates Safety and Health management systems in Council operations.
- Conducts Safety and Health risk/performance assessments.
- Audits Council’s activities, programmes and projects.
- Investigates Safety and Health related complaints.
- Trains Council employees and stakeholders in Safety and Health.
- Provides Safety and Health technical guidance and support to departments
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety and Management, Public Health or equivalent.
- A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
- Must be computer literate
- At least 2 years relevant work experience in Occupational Safety and Health
