Devure Sub Catchment Council invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of a Revenue Officer on an initial three month closed contract, to be based at Devure Irrigation Scheme, Birchenough Bridge, Buhera District. The contract may be renewed subject to good performance, availability of funds and or conditions obtaining in the field and at the Council.
Duties And Responsibilities
Collecting water levies from commercial water users according to prescribed laws and regulations;
• Identify and make follow-ups on water levies owed;
• Conducting face to face interviews with debtors;
• Banking cash collections and submitting cash deposit slips to the accountant;
• Communicating with debtors by mail or telephone to address discrepancies and to request supporting documentation;
• Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
5 O levels including Mathematics, English language
• Diploma or National certificate in business, accounting or finance
• At least 2 years hands on experience in finance or accounting
• Effective Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent people skills
• Honesty, Integrity and trustworthy are key qualities to this position
• Excellent Customer service and Strong Negotiating skills
