JOB DESCRIPTION
Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has vacancies for Boilermakers who will be reporting to the Fixed Plant Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out all fabrication works on HMEs and Fixed Crushing Plants.
- Adherence to scheduled maintenance, inspections and service on all mechanical systems.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Fabrication, welding and installation of Fixed Plant and Mobile Plant mechanical components.
- Ability to inspect equipment for proper functioning and complete maintenance documentation.
- Ensuring overall effectiveness of Heavy Mobile Equipment and Fixed Plant.
- Completing workorders and checklists.
- Spontaneous response to breakdowns on surface, underground and crushing plant.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Class 1 Boilermaker/ Plater Welder.
- National Certificate in Fabrication Engineering.
- Apprenticeship training is an added advantage.
- Coded Welding qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years working experience in Mining industry.
- Experience in pipe fabrication and installation.
- Experience in LHD bucket repairs, fabrication and maintenance.
- Experience in Fixed Crushing Plant maintenance.
- Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
