Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Smelter in Kwekwe. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following position on a fixed- term contract basis.
High Level Boilermaker
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of plant equipment in order to maximize plant availability
- Attending to breakdowns on the shortest possible time
- Carryout standby duties
- Assessing and advising the Superintendent on equipment spares stock availability and stock outs and plant status
- Attending to and planning on breakdowns and PPMs
- Carrying out housekeeping and other SHE matters in work stations.
- Participating in Maintenance Quality Assurance system implementation and enforcement
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 “O’ Level subjects including Mathematics and English
Language. - Apprenticeship trained in the relevant field in a Mining or Heavy
Industry environment. - Should be a holder of Class One (1) Skilled Worker Certificate
- Thorough understanding of Ferro Chrome Smelting and Alloy Recovery from Slag Plants operation and maintenance
- In-depth understanding of Maintenance Safety issues
- Working knowledge on the ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management
System (QMS)
