A local company is looking for a Power Electrician

Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

– Knowledge of mine safety legislation and codes of practice relevant to safety in mining

operations.

– Communicate transparently and efficiently with management and machine operators. Pass on any relevant information such as outages, efficiency and productivity of the equipment.

– Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of subordinate personnel

– Monitor and control the flow of supplies that includes the purchase, storage and movement of the required quality of spare parts. Manage and synchronize supply chain activities.

– Inspect mining areas to ensure safe working conditions and equipment.

-Maintain records of mine production and development performance, including performance of machinery.

– Assists in the development of policies and procedures.

Qualifications And Experience

Power Electrician- Class 1 Certificate /Diploma in Power Electrical Engineering

– 6 years working experience preferably in the Mining Industry

Prospective candidates must have a solid knowledge of working on Sandvik machines, Drill rigs, Bolters and LHDs
