The Law Society of Zimbabwe is a Statutory, self-regulating, body established in terms of the Legal Practitioners Act (Chapter 27:07). The Law Society regulates the legal profession in Zimbabwe. It also represents the legal profession.
The Law Society is run by an elected council comprising of registered legal practitioners practising across the country. The council is assisted by an appointed Secretariat based in both Harare and Bulawayo.
Summary
The Law Society of Zimbabwe’s strategic plan (2016-2020) came to an end on the 31st December 2020. It was succeeded by a one year transitional plan for 2021. The Law Society of Zimbabwe wishes to review its performance over the last six years and come up with a new Strategic Plan to guide it for the period 2022-2025
Description and expectations
The Law Society of Zimbabwe is calling upon consulting firms with relevant experience to submit bids to undertake the above assignment.
The consulting firm will be expected to do the following:
Facilitate the review of the existing plan and how it was executed; Facilitate comprehensive review of the organisation its vision and mission; Facilitate the crafting of the plan for the organisation for the next four (4) years and produce the report and the strategic plan; Facilitate the drafting of the annual priority plan for 2022; Help craft the annual activity plan for 2022 based on the new strategic plan
