The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the
following post in the Innovation and Business Development: –
PRODUCTION MANAGER – TEXTILES (1 POST)
The Production Manager is the leader of the production team responsible for overseeing all stages of the
textile manufacturing process at the Industrial Park. He/she will ensure the smooth running of the unit in a
cost effective manner while delivering products on time. The successful applicant will initially work at the
Personal Protective Equipment and Apparel Production Unit but will be assigned to new/other production
units as it becomes necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Technology/Fibre and Polymer Materials
Engineering/Production/Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or relevant equivalent plus at least 2
years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Computer literacy and knowledge of
Principles of Production Management or any leadership principles is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and controls production;
Monitors Quality Assurance and Systems Management;
Conducts Method Analysis;
Organises workflow to meet specifications and deadlines;
Manages interface with other functions that support the PPE and Apparel Production plant and
