Reporting to the Site Manager, this job exists to to ensure cleanliness of the site is maintained every time and to assist in

performance of quality male circumcision procedures in the theatre

Duties And Responsibilities

Your contribution

• Participate in the development, pretesting and finalization of monitoring tools in liaison with the program teams and

Information Systems department.

• Sweeping, mopping, damp dusting, autoclaving and segregates, disposes and incinerates waste

• Repairs office equipment, loads and offloads stocks and equipment

• Prepares the theatre bed for male circumcision procedure by disinfecting each bed after use to ensure infection

prevention is maintained

• Gives instruments and positioning of client and escorts clients to recovery room

• Provides post-operative care and support to all clients after male circumcision

• Relieves receptionist at the site and outreach for registration of clients for male circumcision

• Documents client weight, dosage and VMMC procedure on the client intake record form (CIR)

• Completes procedure book in theatre, orders daily stock requests

• Sensitizing potential VMMC clients in workplaces and communities

• Undertakes payment of bills for the site when there is anything due for payment

• Purchases petty cash items and office consumables for the site when necessary

• Checks for internal security to ensure safety of office equipment and prevent theft of valuables

• Checks on all windows, doors, lights and water taps when knocking off duty so that there are no chances of break-ins at the

site after hours

Qualifications And Experience

Requirements

• Certificate in Nurse Aid (Red Cross).

• 5 Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Hardworking and able to Communicate at all levels.

• Accuracy and timely accomplishment of given task.
