JOB DESCRIPTION
RioZim Ltd, a wholly owned Zimbabwean Company with mining and related operations in several parts of Zimbabwe, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in a vacancy at one of our various operations within the Group in the following discipline PLANT OPERATOR.
The successful applicant will be based at Renco Mine and his major Key Performance Indicator is to ensure optimum Plant utilisation as per business production targets in a safe work environment and disposal of process effluents. The applicant will also undertake any such tasks, within the scope of their expertise, as may be directed by the Plant Foreman inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out shift plant checks on plant equipment and recommend equipment maintenance prioritization to maximise Plant utilisation.
- Carry out process task as prescribed by the standard operating procedures in all plant processes.
- Monitor the plant processes as per set targets.
- Any other duties as lawfully delegated.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy with the Zimbabwe School of Mines.
- At least 3 years relevant working experience in a gold plant.
- Demonstrable knowledge of a recognised HSE system is mandatory.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
