SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER (SEWER)
Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary
- Supervises sewerage teams responsible for maintenance and operation of sewer conveyance system.
- Plans and directs maintenance of sewer pipes and reticulation.
- Plans and executes sewer dragging strategy
- Liaise with zone managers and the community in de-choking of sewers.
- Makes recommendations to Engineers of redesign in problematic areas.
- Controls and manages sewer vehicles for effective usage.
- Supervises all staff in the Sewerage Workshops.
- Interprets the sewer reticulation designs.
- Develops preventive maintenance programme.
Qualifications Requirements
- An apprenticeship trained Journeyman Class 1 in the trade of Plumbing/Drain laying.
- A clean class 4 Driver’s licence
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
