Background

Catholic Relief Services Zimbabwe (CRS/Zimbabwe) seeks to hire the services of an independent external consultant (individual or institution) to conduct an end of project evaluation of the I-Votsha project. The I-Votsha project is a food assistance emergency project which has been implemented from September 2020- July 2021 with funding from USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). The main goal of the project was to improve food security of most vulnerable households in Matobo, Gwanda, Umzingwane and Bulilima districts. The project used the electronic voucher modality to aid the targeted households. The e-vouchers were loaded remotely with a stipulated voucher value based on the household size. The people assisted redeemed their vouchers at pre-selected vendors in their respective business centers for three commodities only (mealie meal, cooking oil and sugar beans). The food consignment provided contributed to 60% of the target households’ monthly expenditure basket (MEB) . It is against this background that CRS Zimbabwe is seeking the services of a consultant(s) to carry out an external end of project evaluation.
