East West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by highly qualified nationals of Zimbabwe that are currently residing in Zimbabwe for two positions of Political Economy Analysis (PEA) Specialists to participate in a PEA study. The assignment is expected to start mid July 2021, and will be completed by the end of October 2021. In-country travel might be required if and when the government of Zimbabwe’s measures to prevent the spread COVID-19 pandemic would allow.

Key requirements:

Advanced university degree (master’s or doctorate) in social sciences, international development, law, political science, economics, or a related field; At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in conducting high quality in-depth political economy analysis or similar analysis for public, private, and research institutions, or/and civil society organizations (CSOs); Demonstrated experience with a range of research approaches that support and/or complement PEA, including qualitative and quantitative research; Experience in integrating views of various civil society, public, and private sector stakeholders at multiple levels to inform policy and programming decisions and activities; At least one expert should have demonstrable experience conducting gender and social inclusion analysis and engaging youth and other marginalized groups; In-depth understanding and knowledge of the political, social, and economic context in Zimbabwe; Understanding of international development programs that operating in the country; Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; and Ability to speak Shona and/or Ndebele is an advantage.
