A local women’s rights organization is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following post.
Duties and responsibilities
Producing and compiling organizational daily, weekly, and monthly alerts and other publications; Developing organization’s information system; Maintaining and Updating social media pages-Facebook, Twitter and Website; Participating meaningfully Institutional Proposal Development; Development and Implementation of Communications strategy; Implements and expand a new social media strategy to raise profile and market activities; Preparing departmental and project activities; Being the Information gathering and compiling focal person in outreach field trips; Facilitate workshops for project beneficiaries and stakeholders; Produce content for IEC materials, newsletter and online fliers; Preparing social media reports; Respond to media inquiries; Producing multimedia content from training programs (videos and photographs); Securing organizational multimedia content offline and online.
Qualifications and experience
Degree in Journalism and Media Studies or English & Communications Studies or Information Science or any other relevant degree; Relevant work experience – at least 3-5 years; Experience in a fast paced Non-Governmental Organization; Experience working in communications; Excellent analytical & writing skills; Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate events; Self-motivation and enthusiasm and ability to work under your own initiative.
