Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Working together with children, young people, donors and partners, Plan International strives for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

Plan International Zimbabwe intends to carry out an End-line Evaluation for the Civil Society Strengthening project which will be implemented in partnership with Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) and Justice for Children Trust (JCT) in Matabeleland North, Bulawayo Metropolitan and Masvingo Provinces. The project is funded by the European Union Delegation and the Sweden International Development Agent (SIDA). The overall goal of the project is to contribute to strengthened participatory and accountable governance in Zimbabwe for gender equality and child rights through fostering multi-actor partnerships in policy dialogue at all levels.

Role of the consultant

Plan International Zimbabwe invites bids for the services of a consultant to conduct the End-line evaluation. The role of the consultant shall be:

  • To design a comprehensive methodology for the evaluation;
  • To carry out the Endline evaluation as per the schedule;
  • Carry out all recruitment and supervision of enumerators/data collectors;
  • Ensure high quality data collection and entry;
  • Submit raw and cleaned data to Plan International Zimbabwe and take corrective actions, where relevant.

Skills and qualifications

  • The Consultant should have an advanced degree in Social Sciences or related field (Masters desirable)
  • At least 5 years of verifiable experience in coordinating and administering baseline/evaluations, including data collection and entry, data management and storage, preferably for international non-governmental organisations.
  • The consultant should have knowledge and experience in participatory evidence based advocacy for children’s rights and gender equality at national and regional level.
