Lectureship/Senior Lectureship/Associate Professorship/Professorship – Forest Resources Management (1 Post)
Duties And Responsibilities
• The candidate should be able to supervise students’ research/design projects and
teach at least three modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the
following areas: Tropical Dendrology and Botany, Forest Entomology, Forest
Silviculture, Fire Ecology, Applied Forest Ecology, Agroforestry and
Environmental Impact Assessment
• Participating in income generation.
• Participating in outreach activities in the forestry sector.
• Ability to innovate and facilitate service delivery.
• Innovation and production of goods and services.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Forest Resources Management/Conservation and a BSc Honours in Forest Resources Management. Applicants must have strong research mentoring skills and the ability to attract and manage research grants. Preference will be given to applicants with a proven record of publications in refereed scientific journals. A PhD in Forest Resources Management/Conservation will be an added advantage.
