ZESA Holdings (Pvt) Ltd is a state owned Company whose mandate is the generation, transmission, distribution and retailing of electricity, provision of telecommunication services as well as manufacturing and retailing of electrical related equipment. The Company is inviting suitably qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following positions that have arisen within the Company and based at its Head Office in Harare:
Software Engineer (12 Months Fixed Term Contract) (2) Ref: Z/Hhr07/05/2021
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Systems Analyst, the successful candidate will be required to:
• Develop and maintain system functional specifications
• Understand functional specifications
• Design, develop and code for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language or any other object oriented development tools
• Perform system unit and integration testing
• Provide system implementation and functional support services
Qualifications And Experience
• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Membership of a recognized professional body
• At least 2 years of experience as a SAP Technical Consultant or similar role
• SAP Certifications in Materials Management, Plant Maintenance or any SAP module is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies
• Knowledge and experience of delivering projects in an agile framework
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong object orientation experience using tools such as ABAP, C++, Java, Smartforms
• A team player
