Job Summary
The incumbent will provide support by ensuring safe and timely transportation of people and goods.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Transports staff, stakeholders, and guests safely and timely; Conducts daily routine vehicle inspection according to the checklist and taking corrective action; Cleans up vehicles; Conducts minor repairs such as wheel replacements and other ad hoc repairs; Collects and delivering mail and goods as assigned; Sources quotations for the servicing and maintenance of vehicles as assigned by supervisor; Requests monthly fuel allocation for the project and consolidating fuel returns monthly and submitting to the Logistics Assistant; Keeps mail and goods delivery and collection records; Consolidates fuel returns monthly and submits to the Field Supervisor; Records and updates vehicle log book on every trip; Re fuels project vehicle in the district.
Minimum qualifications Skills and experience
5 O level Subjects; Clean Class 2 driver’s licence; Defensive driving certificate; 2 years driving experience; Experience driving in the field, an added advantage; Experience working for NGOs will be an added advantage.
