Background to the Consultancy

Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe, Research and Advocacy Unit and Gender and Media Connect with the support from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) is implementing the Strengthening Women’s Advocacy for inclusive Governance” (SWAG). The SWAG initiative is a national campaign that was launched in 2017 to increase women’s participation in governance and electoral processes at local and national level in Zimbabwe . Services of a consultant to document Project’s Achievements for the “Strengthening Women’s Advocacy for inclusive Governance” (SWAG) campaign are being sought.

Tasks under this consultancy

The consultancy will be expected to document through video and audio the project’s achievements in 5 of the campaign districts from the interviewed participants (i.e. participants from all levels of implementation).

Deliverables

The Consultancy will be responsible for the following deliverables: Raw data for the video footage and audio recordings; Packaged video and audio recordings; Narrative Report of the achievements; Submission of the final products should come in three (3) copies of each (video, audio plus one digital copy).

Purpose/objectives of the consultancy

The Consultant will be engaged to document project beneficiaries from all levels of implementation on the achievements of the project, and the final products must be packaged.

Duration

The detailed assignment timelines will be agreed on with the successful candidate.

Bid Format

Technical and Financial proposals not exceeding 6 pages should be submitted to WCoZ including a separate 3 page resume; Samples of similar work done previously should be submitted.

Qualifications, Experience, and a sample of work

Advanced degree in Media Studies or related field with experience in Films and documentation. Evidence of prior work involving community engagement documentation will be an added advantage; More than 5 Years’ experience in related work.
