Type of contract: Training Consultancy

A local NGO is seeking a qualified consultant(s) to conduct a board induction training for its Management Board which was elected to office recently to enable them to fully contribute to the organization’s mandate and objectives. The organization will avail all the necessary documentation and information required for the execution of the assignment.

Objectives

To build a working relationship among board members that promotes ongoing support and good corporate governance within the organization. Specific focus will be on: Provisions of the legal governance charter; Roles and responsibilities of the Management Board; Ethics and Organizational Policies; Board meetings and oversight; Board performance evaluation process; Key activities and programs being run by the organisation; understanding the organization’s resourcing framework

Roles and Responsibilities of the Consultant

In consultation with the Executive Director the consultant is expected to: Prepare training materials for the board induction; Conduct training ensuring the content is aligned with participants’ expectation and needs; Ensure participants understand the presented material; Prepare the report on the board induction workshop.

Deliverables

Inception report completed within two days of commencement of assignment. Training materials on board induction developed; Written report on the training workshop 2 days after completion of assignment.

Payment

Payment of the consultant will be done after successful completion of the assignment.

Reporting

The consultant/s will report to the Executive Director
