WAITER/WAITRESS (4 Posts)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Catering Services Supervisor, the incumbent will among other things;
Provide the perfect service to every customer, (student, staff or guest)
Ensure the customer feels important and welcome in the dining halls.
Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and other services.
Serve all customers, i.e. students, staff and guests, in an accommodating manner.
Maintain a clean and organised service area.
Comply with health and hygienic policies and procedures.
Practice laid down hand over and take over procedures.
Lock all exit and entrance point before knock off time.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language.
National certificate in food and Beverages or Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent
National diploma in the related field will be an added advantage.
Class two in the related trade will be an added advantage.
At least (2) years proven history in Catering operations
