Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has an exciting and challenging career opportunity at its KweKwe Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position on a renewable fixed term contract basis.
ASSISTANT COST ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Costing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for cost and management accounting.
Duties And Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Cost and management accounting – accurate preparation of monthly management reports • Preparation of the Annual Business Plan • Analysis of Management Accounts • Activity Based Costing • Equipment Costing • Implementation of General Accounting Controls • Training of operational staff in cost review • Management of the Safety and Quality Assurance programmes
Qualifications And Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• A first degree in Accountancy plus a minimum of 2 years post graduate Learnership experience in a Mining or Manufacturing Environment • Membership of a Professional Board and a Professional Qualification such as ACCA, CIS and/or CIMA • Working knowledge of SAP Finance Module is a distinctive advantage • Demonstrable knowledge of a recognized SHE and Quality Assurance Systems • Knowledge of statutory accounting and regulatory requirements
