Mayor Logistics a leading logistics company is looking for a result-driven freight and logistics Sales and Marketing Officer to join our Sales and Marketing team. This position will be responsible for developing and implementation of freight and logistics sales and marketing initiatives to ensure that the company expands its customer base.

Duties And Responsibilities

Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.

-Maintenance of current customers: Including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive and providing excellent service. Also, soliciting for other business from customers.

-Monthly financial analysis: including determining overall success of current customer profiles.

-Determine current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.

-Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data in CRM and other programs as needed.

-Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and timely.

-Developing goals for specialized sales (LTL, Intermodal, etc.).

-Arranging sales visits with prospective clients

-Negotiate with prospective and existing clients on rates following set SOP.

-Provide excellent customer communication and long-term relationship building at a strategic level.

-Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings for sales purposes

– Preparation and submission of tenders with prospective clients.

-Design sales strategy, formulate services offered, formulate rate structure for those services and collate sales visits

-Research and provide in depth market knowledge within target industry for internal and external use

Qualifications And Experience

Required Skills

Experience with transportation and logistics industries required.

Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.

Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.

Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.

Ability to effectively train others, preferably with experience in doing so.

Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Qualifications

A Degree in Marketing, SFAAZ Diploma.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

4-5 years’ experience in a Sales Manager/ Sales Executive or similar, including at least 2 years’ at management/supervisory level

Excellent experience and knowledge of the Logistics Industry

Knowledge and experience Transport and Logistics preferably local and cross border transport would be a distinct advantage
