The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body mandated to ensure the provision of a level playing field for safe, reliable and sustainable energy supply through effective regulation. ZERA seeks the services of a highly competent, professional and results oriented individual who is able to take the organisation to a higher level in the following role:

Financial Analyst.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Economic Regulation, the Key Job Functions of this position will be:

• Data collection, computation and review of petroleum prices in line with the fuel pricing regulations.
• Analysis and benchmarking of petroleum sector pricing principles.
• Analysis of financial performance of licenced energy companies.
• Review of electricity tariff applications from the utility.
• Review and recommend tariffs for independent power producers.
• Advise on appropriate methods and tools for determination of tariffs.
• Analyse financial data and develop key performance indicators.
• Maintain database for energy sector price reviews.
• Advise on necessary and appropriate tools for energy pricing.

Key Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Accounting/Finance Degree (Four Years)/Commercial degree.
• Professional Qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA.
• 5 years’ experience in financial analysis and pricing preferably in the energy sector.
• Analytical skills.
• Numerical aptitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strategic thinking.
• Effective communication, diplomacy and advocacy skills.
