The Construction Industry Trust is looking for on experienced qualified Bookkeeper.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To proffer financial advise to the Board and preparation of the final accounts of the Trust.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Driving the financial strategy, budgeting, audit and forecasting process.
- Advising on the financial health of the Trust to the Board.
- Ensuring financial discipline through effective internal controls.
- Preparation of cashflow statements, complete accurate financial reports, management accounts, financial statements and annual reports.
- Maintaining and controlling the cashbook receipts and payments.
- Develop, implement and monitor a sound, effective and efficient inventory and procurement system.
- Financial data analysis resulting in understanding where the Trust is generating and losing revenue.
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Preparation of tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and timeously.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a relevant academic in Accounting or related field. A professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Must have a proven work experience of not less than 5 years.
REMUNERATION:
A package commensurate with the position will be disclosed to the shortlisted candidates.
