Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has some exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Mining Division.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position on a renewable fixed term contract basis.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER (MINING DIVISION)

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for Managing the Finance and Administration department within the Mining Division in line with the applicable standards, legal provisions and SHE requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Acc/ B Comm Accounting Degree plus a minimum of 6 years post graduate learner ship experience in a mining or manufacturing environment
  • Membership of a professional body and a professional qualification such as CA, CIS, ACCA and or CIM A
  • Ability to influence and provide insight to strategic decision making and financial management as well as a culture of teamwork.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Finance module is a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of a recognised SHE system, preferably NCSA.
  • Knowledge of statutory accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • High levels of communication and sound interpersonal skills.

KEYPERFORMANCEAREAS

  • Managing the costing and accounting functions to facilitate production of useful, accurate and complete financial management reports including fixed assets.
  • Reviewing zero base costs regularly, analysing their effect on the overall production and operating costs and recommend action that promote value creation.
  • Ensure good corporate financial management (creditors, debtors, assets, cash flow, and payroll administration) in line with generally acceptable financial management practices.
  • Coordinating and managing the external and internal audit process.
  • Expeditiously evaluating applications for expenditure in respect of financial implications and calculations.
  • Ensuring Budgets formulation, support to budget holders and effective implementation.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the process to prepare and deliver on time monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensuring that the department maintains a safety record commensurate with the organisation’s standards and policies.
