Job exists to ensure the establishment and maintenance of best evidence – based practice in the clinical management of clients, following national and international guidelines for standard of care across programs and support to the regions, ensuring efficiencies and injecting innovation into the PSI Zimbabwe platform program.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Develops and submits evidence based annual/quarterly/monthly work plans, with service quality targets and expectations, detailing out all the expectations for Quality Assurance and continuous quality improvement activities across all service delivery areas, with clear targets and timelines that align with Donor and MOHCC goals
• Develops, reviews, updates, and revises existing Standard Operating Procedures regularly and as required to meet minimum service and program quality standards.
• Works with evidence and Regional teams to conduct routine QA activities and monitor the quality of program implementation across all health areas in accordance with established medical and ethical standards as reflected by SOPs and other relevant service tools and guidelines.
• Conduct quarterly expenditure analysis to track and suggest strategies to reduce the cost-of-service delivery across all interventions.
• Documents and reports all complications and adverse events arising from clinical services provided by PSI teams in accordance with the quality standards for each service delivery area.
• Tracks all complications and adverse events in line with PSI global and donor requirements.
• Facilitates the timely deployment of support and resources required for the management of each complication and adverse event and provides guidance and support to subnational teams as required.
• Identifies staff learning needs for QA/CQI and organizes/conducts training and mentorship programmes to build the capacity of providers.
• Anticipates program risks related to poor quality of service provision and advises the senior leadership team on how these can be prevented or mitigated.
• Works closely with the Procurement department to ensure that the right specifications for medical and non-medical stocks; and movable and non-movable assets are supplied.
• Represents PSI in MOHCC, NAC, and donor QA/CQI technical working groups.
