Department: Research, Strategic Communication and Engagements

We are a platform on the national Constitution, harnessing citizen energy and mobilising communities to ensure that each citizen can – individually and in concert with others – use the national Constitution for self-advancement and self-protection.

To lead the development and execution of an effective research and campaigning strategy for Section7; To identify themes, issues, questions, and problems for constitutional leadership research and campaigning; To carry out research and related assignments on agreed themes of constitutional praxis; To innovate campaigns that advance effective constitutional advocacy.

Demonstrated vision and creativity as well as intellectual acuity and discipline to develop substantive materials that advance Section7’s goals; Excellent research skills and proven campaigning mettle; Accomplished presentation skills which can be adapted to address diverse audiences and media; Excellent oral and written skills in English (and, ideally, at least two other Zimbabwean languages); The ability to conduct high-quality research, and to produce advocacy and campaigning documents in a timely manner; Ability to lead, inspire, motivate and facilitate initiatives, and courage and integrity to work earnestly for constitutionalism in Zimbabwe.
