DIRECTOR – ENVIRONMENT, CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE
The Institute of Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary unit with the responsibility for promoting, facilitating and conducting research and environmental education.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include;
- managing the day-to-day affairs of the Institute,
- mobilising the necessary financial resources for the smooth running of the Institute, implementing the strategic plan of the Institute,
- co-ordinating inter disciplinary projects, and
- consultancies as well as conducting internationally-publishable research.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should:
- be Senior Academics holding a PhD
- be with experience that would enable them to handle the administration of the Institute,
- raise financial resources and command the respect of relevant academic institutions, government departments, non-governmental organisations, and donors.
- have a proven track record in administration and environmental research.
