Job Summary
The following positions have arisen within the City of Bulawayo:
Clinical Medical Officer (Grade 12: -2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Train and Groom other staff memberson new and difficult conditions.
- Manage difficult cases referred by Nursing Sisters in Clinics.
- Manage patients admitted to the Council’s Infectious Diseases Hospital.
- Participate in the update of National Guidelines on Health.
- Sit in the Medical Board to examine the fitness for duty of a staff member.
- Perform Medical Examination of newly employed staff in Council.
- Authorise Cremation of bodies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Medicine and Surgery or equivalent.
- Must be registered with the Medical, Dental and Allied Professions Act (Chapter 27:08).
- A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
Experience
- At least 5 years work experience in a similar environment.
