PLANT ENGINEER.
JOB OVERVIEW.
The Engineer shall be responsible for all plant machinery and equipment maintenance, both planned and unplanned by implementing advanced engineering strategies that enhance overall equipment efficiency( OEE ) for all company factories. He/she shall be responsible for the Engineering Department’s documentation according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). He/she shall work closely with security companies and fellow employees to safeguard the security of premises, equipment and products. While working closely with the Health and Safety Committee, the engineer shall carry out recommendations on machine to ensure employee health and safety standards are maintained
Key Duties & Responsibilities.
1. Implement planned preventive maintenance of all production equipment and maintain records thereof according to company standards.
2. Lead repairs of all production equipment and machinery and maintain records for use in the initiation of preventive maintenance programmes.
3. Increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) by implementing necessary but cost-effective maintenance strategies for all plant machinery and equipment.
4. Reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) by implementing effective resource management strategies.
5. Increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by implementing necessary improvements on plant machinery, equipment and processes.
6. Installations and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
7. Maintain an up to date spare parts inventory system and assist in reordering.
8. Co-ordinate security awareness within the organisation by working closely with security guards, their organisations and fellow employees in order to safeguard the security of premises, equipment, vehicles and products.
9. To work closely with the Health and Safety Committee in addressing health and safety issues and ensuring a safe working environment in the plant to satisfy regulations.
Minimum Qualifications, Work Experience and key attributes:• 3 ‘A’ Levels including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.• University degree in Engineering.• At least three years working experience in a similar position within a manufacturing company.• Good communication skills and team player.• Thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.• Knowledge of different maintenance programs.• Positive attitude towards work and results oriented.• Able to work outside normal working hours.Applications in writing together with a detailed CV must be sent to: [email protected] DATE: 27/11/2018.Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
