Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
• A Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
• 5 years relevant experience
• Project management certification and experience
• Good Communication Skills
• Computer literacy ‘Advanced Knowledge and Proficiency in using project planning software such as Microsoft Project and / or Primavera P3/P6.
Key Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains project schedules
• Assists, reviews and critiques the logic, sequence and duration of schedules received from Contractors
• Reviews monthly updates from Contractors and initiates required modifications to project schedules as construction progresses, through collaboration with the construction team.
• Updates project schedules to incorporate progress, changes and key milestone events at the same time creating an accurate representation of the work accomplished, as communicated by the project team.
• Identifies potential problems or delays within look ahead schedules to allow project teams to develop work around plans to keep the projects on track.
• Assists the Project Manager in identifying and reporting to management scheduling issues and conflicts as well as project budgets and estimates.
• Liases with Project Manager to create, update and report on work breakdown structures.
• Tracks project progress per defined KPIs for multi ongoing projects.
