Key Responsibilities
- The consultant will carry out the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and associated management plans for the “Mitigation through Sustainable Energy and Waste Management in Zimbabwe” project.
Requirements
- MSc in Environmental Studies/Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or Natural Resources Management.
- At least 7 years of experience undertaking ESIA studies, with experience in complex ESIAs and SEP.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental and/or social assessment of projects.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects in Africa and donor-funded projects.
- Experience in sustainable energy and waste management projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Registration with Zimbabwe’s Environmental Management Agency (EMA).
- Prior experience with UNICEF or another UN organisation is an asset.
