Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, inspect and maintain mechanical systems and mining equipment.
- Maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, compressors and other processing equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective measures.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and plant upgrades.
- Monitor equipment performance and improve reliability and efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules and equipment specifications.
- Work with mining, processing, electrical and production teams.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and junior engineering personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant engineering experience, preferably in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
- Experience with mining and mineral-processing equipment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in remote mining environments.
