Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, inspect and maintain mechanical systems and mining equipment.
  • Maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, compressors and other processing equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective measures.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning and plant upgrades.
  • Monitor equipment performance and improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules and equipment specifications.
  • Work with mining, processing, electrical and production teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and junior engineering personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant engineering experience, preferably in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
  • Experience with mining and mineral-processing equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote mining environments.
