The Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill five (5) Compliance Monitoring & Evaluation Clerk positions. The successful candidates will be based at the Corporate Centre, Central Region, South-East Lowveld Region, Matobo Region and Sebungwe Region and will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer .

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in developing, reviewing and strengthening monitoring, inspection and evaluation systems, procedures and frameworks.
  • Supporting the monitoring of project activities, expenditure, implementation progress and performance against planned outputs and targets.
  • Assisting in tracking and evaluating overall project performance to ensure the achievement of intended results and outcomes.
  • Compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual project progress reports for submission to the Compliance, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.
  • Participating in planning workshops and supporting the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in preparing strategic plans, performance reports and other monitoring documentation.
  • Assisting in organising, coordinating and facilitating Monitoring and Evaluation training programmes to strengthen staff capacity.
  • Supporting the preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports documenting project achievements, challenges, lessons learned and recommendations while maintaining accurate and up-to-date monitoring and evaluation databases.
  • Collecting, verifying, analysing and maintaining project data to support evidence-based planning, decision-making and reporting.
  • Assisting in conducting field monitoring visits, inspections and evaluations to assess project implementation, compliance and impact.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Project Management or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in Monitoring and Evaluation or a related discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of statistical and data analysis software such as Power BI, SPSS, R, Stata or other relevant analytical tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
