Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring plant functionality by carrying out breakdowns or preventive maintenance to the set standards.
- Ensuring machinery is free of faults by assessing machinery and identifying possible solutions.
- Minimizing down time by swiftly attending to machinery breakdowns.
- Complying with the checklist through daily routine checks.
- Determining the root cause of any break downs by investigating all breakdowns and give feedback to any responsible foreman.
- Ensuring new equipment fits in by installing and commissioning new equipment.
- Refurbishing old equipment.
- Ensuring all needed tools are available by requesting for all electrical spare necessities.
- Installing and repairing lighting fixtures, electrical control and distribution equipment.
- Implementing plant electrical modifications.
Requirements
- National Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
- Trade test Journeyman Class 1 certification.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
