To take full responsibility for the administration and management of the pharmacy including regulatory compliance and stock control.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Managing and controlling all stock in the pharmacy stores and hospital
- DDA control and administration.
- Capturing of invoices for all stock received.
- Transferring stock to and from the wards and other locations.
- Managing expired stock within the hospital.
- Issuing ward stock to the various locations.
- Placing weekly orders for the pharmacy stores and main pharmacy.
- Ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Dispensing medications for inpatients and outpatients.
- Controlling and managing the emergency drug cupboard.
- Providing help, advice and information to all patients and customers.
- Communicating with Drs, regarding script errors/changes/out of stock items, as well drug information when required.
- Managing the pharmacy assistant/technicians and ensuring their work is efficient and accurate.
- Keeping the pharmacy, pharmacy stores and emergency drug cupboard clean and tidy.
- Providing reports when requested.
Requirements
- Degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration chemical compounds and pharmaceutical brands.
- 18 months experience in a similar position.
- Great attention to detail.
- Physical and mental fortitude.
- Professionalism.
- Great alertness, analytical and observation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
