Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages the implementation of plans, goals, performance targets, policies and activities for the Environmental health section.
  • Conducts research on public health risks within the Municipality and prepares reports.
  • Formulates and controls budget for section’s budget.
  • Manages community health programmes and ensures effective implementation.
  • Inspect institutions and commercial building plans for compliance prior registration.
  • Conducts industrial inspections to assess adherence to occupational safety and health (OHS) regulations.
  • Supervises subordinates and ensures high standards of performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Health
  • Registered with Environmental Health Practitioner’s Council of Zimbabwe.
  • Valid practising certificate.
  • Three (3) years Post qualification in Environmental health related courses such as water and sanitation, Diseases Control, Food Safety and Hygiene and Waste Management
  • Minimum (3) three years’ experience in senior management position.
  • A clean record of service and a no criminal record.
  • A citizen of Zimbabwe
  • Possession of a minimum clean Class 4 driver’s license.
