SITE SUPERVISOR
The Site Supervisor oversees loading and unloading operations at mine sites and customer delivery points, ensuring efficient truck turnaround and smooth dispatch activities. Serving as the link between drivers, fleet management, loading offices, and customer teams, the role maintains order in the dispatch system, minimises delays, and guarantees vehicles are handled with maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Monitoring: Track vehicle movements, update arrival times, and maintain clear communication with drivers to optimize schedules.
- Loading Coordination & Supervision: Prepare loading plans, oversee truck loading, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Dispatch & Offloading Management: Coordinate departures, monitor deliveries, and oversee unloading activities for timely completion.
- Incident Reporting: Identify and report operational delays, equipment failures, or driver-related issues promptly.
- Communication & Coordination: Liaise with drivers, mine loading offices, warehouse staff, and client representatives to align operations.
- Driver Compliance & Discipline: Ensure adherence to site regulations, address conduct issues, and maintain professionalism in supervision.
Requirements
- At least 5 O’ Level passes, including Mathematics and Science
- A Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is recommended
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in logistics, fleet operations, transport supervision, or related fields
- Prior experience working at mine sites or transport depots and experience in fleet coordination or dispatch management is an added advantage
