Vacancy Waterworks Superintendent (GRADE 6) Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above mentioned vacancy (Grade 6 Position) that has arisen within this organization.
Reporting to the Water and Wastewater Technician

Preparation of reports on water usage for management information
Supervising and coordinating functions of waterworks pump attendants and operators and subordinate staff.
Overseeing the day to day operations of the Municipal water system.
Directing activities of the water production facilities, including work schedules, operations, standards, reports, practices, laboratory techniques and procedures as these relate to public water supply.
Preparing and managing yearly budgets, operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities, chemical supplies, electrical, and mechanical parts and supplies.
Overseeing the general outlook of the water works and all related infrastructure.
Performing any other duties as may be directed by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications and Attributes

Diploma in Civil Engineering Water Management,
Diploma in Water and Sanitation Management,
National Diploma in Water Development or equivalent.
5 years experience in the management, operations and maintenance of water related facilities.
Local government experience will be an added advantage.
Clean class four (4) and or (5) drivers’ licence will be an added advantage.
