JOB SPECIFICATION
• Assists the loading of goods on the truck and ensure that they are stacked and secured properly
• Transport goods over long distances,check on cargo at every stop during journeys to authorized destinations
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on the truck prior to setting off
• Report all mechanical problems to management
• Record freight information along with distance traveled and fuel consumption i.e maintain a vehicle log book
• Ensure that goods are delivered to the right destination at the right time and give timeous feedback to Management
• Ensure full and correct completion of delivery notes by goods recipients
• Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good condition

Person Specification
1. A holder of a clean class 2 driver’s licence with a re-test
2. Possess a Defensive Driver’s licence
3. Possess a valid medical certificate
4. Applicants should be 40 years and above
5. Posses at least 5 years working experience
6. Fit and alert all time
7. Preference will be given to skilled people with sober habits
8. Gender considerations apply
