Science Laboratory Technician (Anatomy)

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must:

• Have at least a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences, Agriculture (Animal Science) or equivalent from a reputable institution.
• Be Computer literate.
• Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working in a Science Laboratory or in an academic research institution.
• Ability to run the Anatomy Laboratory in the Department would be an added advantage.

Duties

The successful candidates would be responsible for

• Assisting with research carried out in the Department

• Preparation and setting-up laboratory practicals for lecturers and undergraduate students.

• Supervising and assisting students in their practicals.
• Preparation of practicals for the postgraduate students.
• Assisting the Chief Science Laboratory Technician with administrative duties.
• Helping organize workshops.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Departmental Chairperson from time to time.
