Science Laboratory Technician (Anatomy)
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must:
- Have at least a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences, Agriculture (Animal Science) or equivalent from a reputable institution.
- Be Computer literate.
- Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working in a Science Laboratory or in an academic research institution.
- Ability to run the Anatomy Laboratory in the Department would be an added advantage.
Duties
The successful candidates would be responsible for
- Assisting with research carried out in the Department
- Preparation and setting-up laboratory practicals for lecturers and undergraduate students.
- Supervising and assisting students in their practicals.
- Preparation of practicals for the postgraduate students.
- Assisting the Chief Science Laboratory Technician with administrative duties.
- Helping organize workshops.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Departmental Chairperson from time to time.
