Overseer Miner

The following opportunity has arisen in a leading group of Gold Mines, the incumbent will be based in Avuma, Chirumhanzu District. The post will be on Fixed Term Contract basis.

Requirements:

•National Diploma in Mining and a surface endorsed Full Basting Licence
•5 years’ experience in Open pit mining.
•Knowledge of Safety Health and Environment Systems such as OSHAS is a pre-requisite.

Competencies:

•Ability to lead mining crews and effectively attain targets.
•Be a team player with innovative skills
•Be able to work under minimum supervision

Brief Outline of the job:

•The Overseer Miner will undertake any such tasks, within the scope of his/her expertise, as may be Directed by the Mine Manager inclusive of, but not limited to the following;
•Effectively and safely directs surface mining operations
•Ensure grade control is maintained
•Enforce safe working standards and good quality of work
•Performance evaluation and review of the team under his/her control
