Job Description

Responsible for the overall management of mining projects Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines and evaluating performance Ensures the safety and health of mine workers & recommends corrective action when problems are detected Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Development and implementation of the mandatory policies and guidelines Implement and maintain company Values Day to day management of the mine (plan, lead, organise and control) and all department Heads

Education & Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in Mining (Master’s degree an added advantage) Mine Manager Certificate (Government Certificate of Competency) Minimum of 5 years’ mining experience (3 years in underground management) Able to handle high pressure environment
