A opportunity exists for a Class One Journeyman (Motor Mechanics) to join a fast paced transport organisation as a Workshop Mechanic. The suitable candidate will ensure quality and cost effective maintenance of all company vehicles and trucks. The job also entails effective use of company resources (Financial, human, information and capital). Supervisory Management will be an added advantage.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

• Experience: 2 years
• Education Level : Diploma Level
• Qualifications: National Certificate in Motor Mechanics/Diesel Plant Fitting
• Software: Technical Training in vehicle diagnostics systems
• Knowledge and skills:
-Pneumatic and Hydraulic braking systems
-Trailer repairs and maintenance
-Freightliner trucks repair and maintenance (Cummins N 14 and ISX )

• Ability: To Diagnose engines/ Gearboxes/ Electrical/ Braking and transmission faults
• Personality: Hard worker, with high levels of energy and self-motivation
• Other: Health and Safety / Tyre Care / Road Traffic accident Investigations
