Desired Qualifications and Essentials
The applicant should be a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Applied Bio-Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent. The desired candidate must have at least one year relevant post-qualification experience in the field of Animal Nutrition. The successful incumbent would be expected to handle all practical aspects of Animal Nutrition for Veterinary undergraduate and post-graduate students Applicants should exhibit competence in Information Communication Technology (ICTs) applications. Possession of City and Guilds and ISO 17023 Quality Assurance Certification plus experience in Animal Nutrition research projects would be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate would be responsible for:
• Undertaking diagnostic and research work and practical teaching of Animal Nutrition to students.
• Repairing and ensuring security of Departmental laboratory equipment.
• Development and maintenance of safety procedures in the Laboratory.
• On-the-lob training of technical assistants and support staff.
The successful candidate would be expected to undertake further studies towards a relevant Master’s Degree programme, on a part-time basis.
