Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer who will produce collateral primarily for real estate agents across the United States and Canada. General responsibilities include designing a wide variety of projects from logos to postcards to presentations prepared for offset print, digital print and online media. To be successful, candidate must be a self-starter, capable of delivering creative work while also being open to the expectations of clients that sometimes have “not so creative” ideas. Attention to detail is critical and being able to adapt to a fast-paced schedule is a must.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

• Intermediate to advanced graphic design experience in a production environment such as an inhouse creative group, creative agency, or extended freelance work. • Accomplished in asking the right questions, gathering information and planning concepts needed for each creative project. • Ability to work virtually from your location while maintaining ongoing daily contact through texts, email, instant messaging, screen sharing and video conferencing. • Ability to take creative direction and maintain updated status as presented in online project management systems (currently Smartsheet). • Flexibility for changing priorities and the ability to shift gears to meet deadlines. • Patience to take on tedious, minor to major edits to prepared materials. • Ability to illustrate concepts through rough layout of copy, related graphics and images. • Ability to make adjustments as requested by clients and/or creative director. • Willingness to work equally well between pre-designed templated materials while at the same time having projects that need a completely new design concept. • Prepares finished files required by supervisor/project manager, clients, printers, etc. • Understanding of marketing concepts including positioning, universal sales propositions, social proof and calls to action. • Demonstrates understanding of concepts such as color space (RGB vs CMYK), resolution (screen vs print), bleeds, proper file types (JPG, PDF, EPS, etc.) • Demonstrates intermediate to advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) including styles and layers. • Ensures proper operation of Macintosh equipment and software by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting and coordinating any software updates with supervisor before installation to assure compatibility.• Contributes to the team by accomplishing other related results as needed.
