Diocese of Mutare Community Care Programme
Diocese of Mutare Community Care Programme (DOMCCP) is a community-based organisation that is implementing community health projects in Manicaland province of Zimbabwe. DOMCCP is partnering with Biomedical Research and Training Institute (BRTI) in investigating the challenges affecting adolescents and young people in accessing HIV prevention methods. The research is being conducted in Mutasa and Mutare districts. We are therefore recruiting for the position of a Research Assistant for the HIV Prevention Cascades Research.
The main tasks of the job are as follows:
Mobilizing groups of adolescent and youth for community conversation sessions; Coordination community conversation facilitators as they conduct their periodic sessions with adolescents and young people; Liaising with Health Centre Committees on strategies to employ in mobilizing groups and networks in the community; Assisting research staff in conducting community dialogues; Facilitating community-specific initiatives to address identified challenges affecting access to HIV prevention methods; Collecting data, and compiling activity and monthly reports; Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should have
Degree in community health-related or development areas; Knowledge and experience working with young people; Ability to collect, collate and analyze data and write comprehensive reports; Ability to ride a motorcycle will be an added advantage
