REPORTS TO: UNIT SISTER IN CHARGE

POSITION SUMMARY
Three well-seasoned Hospital Chefs are being sought after by a Hospital that Is based in Mutare, Harare and Bulawayo. Candidates must be able to work in all the above locations.

· DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing healthy quality meals

· The ideal candidate must be able to plan, cost and draft budgets for the kitchen. supervisory skills are a must have as well as ability to adhere to food handling and safety procedures.

· To support the Hospital by preparing and serving nutritious meals according to planned menus to all patients and staff at the scheduled times daily following all health, safety and environmental standards.

· Ensure that meals are prepared in time

· Monitoring and ensuring cleaning of kitchen and kitchen utensils.

· Ensuring a safe working condition by reporting any appliance faults to the Sister in Charge.

· Work well under pressure

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Qualified Class 1 Cook with at least 2-year proven work experience.
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
• Up-to-date knowledge of advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional recipes.
• Good knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.
• Food Hygiene Certified and familiarity with sanitation regulations.
