Applications are invited from competent, suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the positions based at our Clinic in Bulawayo.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and stocking station with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare and dish quality food accurately and attractively according to diet and menu for both patients and staff
• Collect and assist patients with menus, questions, complaints and concerns and escalate any issues that may be difficult and handle
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies relating to food handling
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously , in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Ensure proper sanitation and storage of kitchen equipment , food and supplies
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
• Work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary
• Understand different special or modified diets for the nutritional wellbeing of patients
Job Requirements
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients , equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
Qualifications
• Diploma in Hotel and catering
• Professional certifications as appropriate
• 3 Years’ Experience
